We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights’ stay here. Not often you have the proprietor of a hotel personally greeting and chatting with every guest every day! The cheerful and warm service adds to the cosiness of the experience, down to the friendly doggos and an adorable cat on the property.

Rooms and beds are generously sized and comfortably outfitted with thick warm blankets and space heaters for the winter. There is ample storage space, and electric kettle, hairdryer, basic bath amenities are also provided. Note that sound tends to travel along the common hallway via the toilet windows, so do tone down loud conversations and keep your toilet door closed.

Breakfasts are simple (toast, buckwheat pancakes, eggs your style, homemade honey, jam and butter) and consistently delicious.

When we arrived for our two night stay we were greeted by the owner. We had a room tucked in the back and it was quiet and peaceful . The food was decent, the staff nice and we were able to get our laundry done there as it was sunny and beautiful. The hotel was packed when we first arrived and the dining area, all seats were filled. Nice experience.

If you travel to Bhutan few days is not enough to explore bhutan, you need more time and spend quality time. Personally suggest to go till Bumthang. Valley Resort is away from city 10 minutes drive you will love the quiet peace here. I have always admired the food and the hospitality of all the hotels and so do here also they have best service. You will feel more comfort when most of the people can understand Nepali. The rooms are great and all time hot and cold shower. the hotel is on perfect location. and also the rooms they have attached balcony covered with glass.

Very cosy hotel with the room furniture fully made of wood. Beds were very comfortable, I had a very good night’s sleep. Amenities inside the room were thoughtfully prepared, including a heater, sofa, mirror, bedside reading lamps and also hair-dryer. Hot water for showering was not a problem, kinda, but note that they switch off the heater after late hours, so you’re better off washing up earlier, before the hot water in your room’s tank ran out.

The owner came out to receive us when we arrived, and sent us off early in the morning when we checked out – loved the personal touch and the sincerity of his service. Dinner for us tasted really homely and delicious, prepared by the owner’s wife! I was full from the day, but still could not stop eating.

Wished we could stay for more nights here. If I return to Bumthang, this resort would be my top choice.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are Super friendly and shall make your stay as comfortable as you would like. They are gentle and humble and patience will win joy more friends than expectations.
The rooms are great too. Bed was comfortable, shower had good temperature and pressure. The heaters were available as it does get cold at night

Food is incredibly well made and tasty. I got to have a look at how some of the dishes are made so made it fun too.
